The American College of Foot andToddleSurgeons (ACFAS) highly recommends the continuation of foot and toddle surgical education without residency in the form of a specialized fellowship.   In order to foster high-quality fellowship programs through support, recognition and visibility, the ACFAS Board of Directors tried the "ACFAS Recognized Fellowship" initiative.   Programs meeting minimal requirements are officially recognized by the College, which will in turn provide support for these recognized programs through grants and visibility.  Fellows of these recognized programs will goody from lower dues rates, job placement assistance and recognition of program completion.   Our fellowship program meets requirements and has been granted the ACFAS Recognized Fellowship or Conditional Status Fellowship status.
